Our founder is a native Spanish speaker, who demonstrated an interest in foreign languages and cultures at an early age while attending a bilingual elementary school. During her years in high school, she challenged Spanish proficiency, composition and literature classes, which helped her to accelerate her College studies. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business with a Minor in Spanish, and gained tutorial experience as a Spanish Tutor during her College years. After earning her degree, she worked with Maquiladoras (assembly companies) at the Mexican border, where she assisted with language translation. She implemented bilingual programs and operating procedures in Spanish.
Her interest in foreign languages kept increasing, and attended Middlebury Language Schools – where she was immersed in a foreign language and became fluent in German. In addition, she earned a Master’s Degree of Arts in Global Logistics, which expanded her horizon, and provided her with an opportunity to teach global logistics at a business institute, where she developed a systematic and structured learning program for the students to prepare them for their certification.
Lastly, as a green coffee importer, she had the pleasure to work closely with native Spanish-speakers in their countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Colombia, Peru, etc. By traveling to small villages and working together with green coffee growers in these various Spanish-speaking countries, she fully familiarized herself with their culture, local customs and etiquette.
