Meet Our Team

Our founder is a native Spanish speaker who demonstrated an interest in foreign languages and cultures at an early age while attending a bilingual elementary school. During her high school years, she challenged herself with Spanish proficiency, composition, and literature classes, which helped her accelerate her college studies. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business with a Minor in Spanish and gained tutoring experience as a Spanish tutor during her college years. After earning her degree, she worked with maquiladoras (assembly companies) at the Mexican border, where she assisted with language translation and implemented bilingual programs and operating procedures in Spanish.

Her interest in foreign languages continued to grow, and she attended Middlebury Language Schools, where she was immersed in a foreign language and became fluent in German. Additionally, she earned a Master’s Degree in Global Logistics, which expanded her horizons and provided her with an opportunity to teach global logistics at a business institute, where she developed a systematic and structured learning program to prepare students for certification.

Lastly, as a global logistics provider and green coffee importer, she had the pleasure of working closely with native Spanish speakers in countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Colombia, Peru, Spain, and others. Through her travels to many of these countries and her collaboration with native speakers, she fully immersed herself in their cultures, local customs, and etiquette.

Alejandra, a native Spanish speaker from Lima, Peru, brings a decade of experience in marketing and communications to her new role. She holds a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas and has completed leadership programs in Argentina. Throughout her career, she has held regional roles across Latin America while working for Ernst & Young, which provided her with extensive experience in cross-cultural communication, professional Spanish writing, and presenting ideas clearly in Spanish for diverse audiences.

She recently moved to California with her husband, who was born and raised there. After earning her MBA in Nagoya, Japan, Alejandra is excited to share her deep knowledge of Spanish language, culture, and communication skills with her students. Her experience in professional and academic settings has equipped her to teach Spanish in a practical, real-world context, helping students develop vocabulary, conversational skills, and an understanding of cultural nuances.

Alejandra firmly believes that learning a new language not only expands a child's knowledge but also fosters a deeper appreciation for multiculturalism and diversity. She loves serving as a bridge between cultures. Her personal and professional experiences have given her the ability to adapt to diverse situations and create engaging, creative learning opportunities. Her leadership background will be invaluable in guiding and inspiring young learners.

 Julián loves Spanish. He is Ms. Claudia’s assistant, and during his learning journey he quickly developed a deep love for the language. While helping the students, he enjoys bringing laughter and joy to the classroom.

Spanish was always his strongest subject in school. He would immediately raise his hand whenever the teacher asked a question. He loved participating, doing activities, and simply having fun.

Julian is also a musician. He loves Latin music—especially salsa, a genre that originated from son cubano. He directs, creates, and teaches music. He has written songs, performed in shows, talent shows, musicals, bands, solos, and worked behind the scenes and more.

He loves generating creative ideas. During his work, he shares those ideas to help create engaging activities for the kids. With his humor, creativity, musical talent, and enthusiasm, he loves helping students with all their work.

Aura is a native Spanish speaker who was raised in Guatemala City. She studied accounting at San Carlos University in Guatemala City. While studying, she had the opportunity to work as a teacher's aide at an elementary school in Puerto Barrios. Years later, she moved to California and continued working with children. As a substitute at a preschool and elementary school, she enjoyed helping kids learn the basics of Spanish by using sensory-filled activities.

Aura is a mother of three lovely daughters who are bilingual in English and Spanish. At home, she immersed her daughters in a Spanish-speaking environment and engaged them in Hispanic culture, which helped them become fluent in Spanish.

During the pandemic, Aura worked as a private Spanish tutor for young children. She developed a fun and interactive Spanish immersion plan to help them with vocabulary and pronunciation. With her patience, high energy, positive attitude, and kindness, she was able to connect easily with the children and create a wonderful Spanish experience for both the kids and their parents. 

Blanca is a native Spanish speaker who learned English as a second language and became fluent in a short period of time. Her experience learning English as a second language ignited her passion for languages. During high school, she took several courses in child development, which led her to pursue further studies in college and earn an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.

She gained early work experience at various Montessori schools and later taught Spanish at Christian schools. Blanca continued her education by obtaining her teaching credentials and now holds a Master Teaching credential.

Overall, Blanca has worked with children, from toddlers to 3rd graders, for 22 years in a bilingual setting in both English and Spanish. Her interest in expanding communication with others, not only by speaking the language but also by using gestures, grew, and she became proficient in sign language. She is passionate about teaching children, creating a fun and creative environment for them.
